LEIPA Georg Leinfelder GmbH was founded in 1847. Today LEIPA has 1.500 employees and a turnover of 660 Mio Euro. The business areas are Magazine Paper (Offset & Gravure - producing waste paper based LWC), Packaging (Liner - white top testliner, Board - grey solid fibreboard to white lined board, Special Paper- 100 % waste paper based, Flexible Packaging - composite materials made from paper, aluminium, plastics and nonwoven) and Services (LEIPA Logistics, Waste Paper, Sales offices). The Business Unit FlexPack was built up in 1967 as a converting plant in Schrobenhausen and made a turnover in 2010 of 52 Mio Euro (130 employees) - 63% export share. Today the BU LEIPA FlexPack is one of the market leaders in dispersion coating & co-extrusion and lamination of composite materials for the medical, pharmaceutical food, health care & cosmetics, converter and industrial applications. With an experience of more than 40 years in extrusion lamination & coating LEIPA FlexPack has become a reliable partner for many multinational an local converters and companies serving barrier multilayer films into different markets. Based on carrier materials like: paper and boards, aluminium foils (pure or lacquered/printed), OPP, PET, OPA (treated, printed, coated, lacquered), multilayer films (PE/PP/PET/PA/EVOH - also metallised), and nonwovens LEIPA offers standard and customised barrier multilayer films made in Germany (certified to DIN EN ISO 9001 & 14001) for e.g. sachets for HFFS & VFFS applications. To receive the optimum sealing properties LEIPA BU FlexPack is able to process and offer seal- and peelable polymer coatings (PE, PP-based), PE, PP, Surlyn, Metallocene, EVOH and other co-/terpolymers, primers for special bonding requirements, PVDC & peelable emulsions.
