Ziegler International was established in San Francisco, California in 1950 by owner, John A. Ziegler. It gained worldwide recognition in its export of citrus concentrates in bulk. Later Mr. Ziegler decided on promoting export of fresh onions, onion seeds and canned squid and found these items to be more challenging to market overseas and he liked it. Hence after over 50 years, his company, Ziegler International, is still concentrated on exporting just these 3 items unless there is a request for other export items.
