Waveborn is a sunglasses company that combines the cool of fashion with the shoul of giving. For each pair of sunglasses sold, Waveborn donates a new pair of prescription eyeglasses to someone that needs them or partially fund sight-restoring surgery in the developing world through our charity partners Unite for Sight and Surgical Eye Expeditions International. From its humble origins as a side hustle in the summer of 2011, Waveborn has since become a community of over 50 people working to spread the movement and give the gift of sight. Waveborns are already sold in six retail stores and are the official sunglasses of Major League Ultimate Frisbee. In June, the company raised over $20,000 on Indegogo- a staggering 207% of the original campaign goal.
