We would like to introduce Vrindavan Bio-Fuels Pvt. Ltd. (VBL) as a professional company established in Chikodi, India in 2005. It is dedicated to the sole purpose of catering to the energy security needs of the country by tapping the alternate energy sources. The objective of the company is to create a social infrastructure by creating jobs to the rural folk thereby helping them self sustain and the other is to engage in a commercial and sustainable activity of developing environmentally friendly bio-fuels. Our team consists of progressive farmers, botanists, agronomist and economist dedicated to the development of Bio-Fuels.


To begin with VBL has taken to cultivation of Jatropha curcas in large tracts of land in Chikodi. A model plantation of Jatropha is already in place. Before making a beginning the company has undertaken considerable research of the subject and only after due diligence with the countries premier research institutes has the plantation process been undertaken. In doing so we have adopted the latest cultivation techniques which give higher yields in terms of growth and the percentage oil content in the seeds. We also have a well-developed nursery to cater to our own plantation needs as well as to supply high yielding elite seedlings to organizations who undertake similar activity. By using mycorrhiza as a natural inoculant we initiate early flowering and fruition of this much-sought after plant.
