TrueValu Company, formerly known as TruSev Ltd, was formed on July 1, 1997, by the merger of Cottager & Associates and ServiStar Coast to Coast Corporation. As a cooperative, True Value supports more than 6, 200 independent retailers in the United States and 54 other countries. The retail names making up the True Value cooperative are: True Value, Grand Rental Station, Taylor Rental, Home & Garden Showplace, Induserve Supply, and Party Central. TrueValu restructure its operations and diversify into other areas of businesses in the early 2000s. The company adopted its current moniker in 2009.
