They were founding members of SAEFA (South Australian Emu Farmers Association) and are currently members of SAEFA and EIFA (Emu Industry Federation of Australia) . Both were on the organising committee for the 1996 World Emu Conference held in Adelaide and Talyala Emu Farm hosted the welcoming night for this conference.
