Solar Telecom Technology has a firm commitment to the advancement and innovation of wireless communication technology for the 21st century. STT is Korean leading W-CDMA (3GPP) network system developer and manufacturer who has developed W-CDMA core technologies for the first time in Korea, and with the development of pilot system completed, is now working towards implementing a complete commercial system in time for the launch of 3G service. The management board members are experts in wireless communication who have been leading the industry since the very beginning of mobile communications history in Korea. Members of STT Research Institute have had extensive experiences in the development, localization and commercialization of mobile telecom network systems. STT’s technological competence has been verified by achieving the best mark among the 49 participants of SK Telecom’s IMT-2000 core technology co-development project and by successfully completing a number of projects with ETRI, Hyundai Electronics, SK C&C, Daewoo Telecom, etc. In March 2001, STT took out a patent for DCA-RAN architecture that will save as much as 30% of the total costs for building and maintaining IMT-2000 network infrastructure. Based upon sound financial structure and the technologies we have built on network system development, STT will maximize the value of the company, and at the same time will assume a leading role in the launch and development of 3G services around the world.
