Siepmann’s (since early 1970s) was formally incorporated as a private limited company in 1988 and became Siepmann’s Card Systems Pvt. Ltd. The old name; which implied the company’s philosophy based upon a European influence on for business was retained and the values are still maintained. In the late 1999-2000, the company having exposure of smartcards; took up upon them to produce such products indigenously. The future of plastic cards in India was being in the chip card technology hence following the trend of the global economics and markets. With that foresight, Siepmann’s Card Systems Pvt. Ltd. started manufacturing the first indigenously developed Contact less Smart Card in India in-house during the early part of 2002. We understood the importance of standardization once such specialized products started getting produced here. This required that the production setup and the products themselves be certified. Following this we applied for and received: 1. An ISO 9001 2000 certification for our entire Production Facility 2. Arsenal Research Institute, Vienna certificate for the Smartcard products Siepmann’s Card Systems Pvt. today has an independent manufacturing setup that spans over 11, 000 sq with an impressive line up of the Muhlbauer IA 16000 ETC and the ISC 500 Smartcard manufacturing Line. This is again the first complete smartcard production line in India. The production capacity for contactless smart cards alone is at approximately 25, 000 per day. All smart card products manufactured here have the internationally recognition of the Arsenal Research Centre, Austria. Our 1KB, 4KB and DESfire memory capacity smart cards are certified products. The products offered are manufactured under stringent standards and compare very favourably with foreign brands. The response for these products has been extremely heartening.
