CATIC (Shenzhen CATIC Information Technology Industry Co., Ltd.), established in year 2001, is a high-tech
company that specializes in designing, manufacturing and marketing the specialized printers, computer
peripherals, system integration, and software development.
CATIC was the pioneer on R&D and sales of the professional printers. Early in 1986, CATIC developed the first
Chinese card for CI series of line printers. By using its competitive advantages on technology, CATIC has been
jointly cooperating with those world-wide brands for the domestic printer markets, these products were used for
the bank, stock exchange market, post offices, and telecom industry widely, especially for China?s financial sector.
CATIC also devotes itself to research and development of independent intellectual property rights. In September
2003, CATIC developed and launched the new generation of advanced passbook printer PR-b (while PB2 is the
model name for overseas markets) which CATIC owns the complete independent intellectual property rights
and patent. CATIC is the first company and the only company in china to own independent intellectual property
rights and patent in passbook printer field by then. Up to now CATIC PR-b has been applied in large quantity in a
large scale of State owned banks, commercial banks, agricultural banks and Rural banks in China and other
countries like India, Korea, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, El Salvador, the Middle East, and Latin
America regions. Hence CATIC became a major passbook printer supplier and printing solution provider in this
world.
