What is fishmeal?
Fishmeal is the brown flour obtained after cooking, pressing, drying and milling whole fish and food fish trimmings. It is produced almost exclusively from small, bony species of pelagic fish (generally living in the surface waters or middle depths of the sea), for which there is little or no demand for human consumption. It provides an excellent source of highly digestible protein, beneficial fatty acids and essential vitamins and minerals.
