Inc. 6. Saruhan Domestic & International Trading Co. Inc. 7. Saruhan Foreign Trade Collective Co. Inc. History: Saruhan was founded in Istanbul in 1982 and started business with distributing home appliances and industrial cleaning machines of Fakir-Nilco (Germany). In 1990, became also the distributor of Clarke (Alto) professional cleaning machines and in 1991 of Buzil detergents. SARUHAN was very successful through its retailing and services. Then, decided to become a manufacturer and vendor of industrial vacuum cleaners and electrical home appliances. Because of the high demand for chemical products also built a fabric for the production of powder and liquid detergents. In time, due to the high demands of the market regarding chemical products, SARUHAN built a facility for the production of powder and liquid detergents. In this respect, in 2001, two production plants were established in Corlu (110 km away from Istanbul) on a total area of 60.000 m2. The machinery plant is placed on 17.000 m2 and the chemical plant on 11.000 m2. The chemical plant is the combination of sulphonation plant with the latest version of Ballestra technology and atomized powder detergent plant. Our yearly total capacity is 105.000 tons, including 60.000 tons of powder & 30.000 tons of liquid detergent and 15.000 tons of raw materials.
