BorneoPearls has operated in Borneo for nearly 10 years. We have tried to be a little different from most companies in that, right from the start, it has been our policy to employ disadvantaged people in Borneo such as single and abandoned mothers, handicapped etc. In fact our little bit of doing good in the world was featured on TV because of this!
We buy direct from the pearl farmers, usually committing a full year in advance to give them assurance of a fair price and their own survival. In our two factories we design, make, check, pack and distribute our Pearl products around the world for wholesale and retail customers. Here in the UK, we are bringing our items direct to you so as you can see, unlike the High Street shops; you really are by-passing trade fairs in Hong Kong, importers, wholesalers / distributors and retailers. This is how we are able to bring you real freshwater pearls at imitiation pearl prices.
We do not make high-end fine jewellery, but focus on vaule-for-money honestly priced products that is within the competence our of people. Our policy is to grow our business slowly and steadily to ensure gainful and constant employment and build a solid reputation of satisfaction with our customers.
