RARA Electronics Company was established on January 20th, 1989 in Buchon, South Korea. The company was started by Y. C. Kim, the president, and his son S. G. Kim, a graduate from Ah-Ju University with a B.Eng. in electronics engineering. The original production facility was the rented second floor of a commercial building. As of April 6th, 2000 the legal designation of RARA changed to corporate form.The initial capital was five hundred million won.As of December 31st, 2000 assets were 1.2 billion won.RARA currently employs twenty-one people, comprising fifteen production line workers and six managerial staff.RARA&＃39;s major production items are:1. Attenuators: RF, microwave, VHF, UHF In addition to our own production items, RARA is a licensed agent for Vishay Resistive System&＃39;s (USA) precision bulk metal foil resistors.RARA&＃39;s research and development activities have resulted in eight patents for design and two patents for practical applications from the Korean government&＃39;s Office of Patents.
