QualyTEXTIL S.A. is the third step of a family business founded in 1997 making special social shirts. Industrial uniforms started soon after desired differentiation, and, in 1999, won first big contract still for cotton overalls. In 2000 garment fabricators were selected as certified Nomex by DuPont, due to their quality garments. Soon after QualyTEXTIL S.A. was dominating the North, Northeast and Southeast regions including Petrobras oil fields in Rio. First contract landed at Petrobras in 2001 boosted business resulting in huge market dominance. Looking forward to developing new areas and expanding the business, QualyTEXTIL S.A. started to hire great technical and sales people. In 2003 DuPont decides to make its own garments in Brazil, and unilaterally disqualifies QualyTEXTIL S.A. as certified supplier. Struggling for survival, new fabric suppliers have to be found overnight to support customers. Surprisingly, new suppliers have much more competitive prices and QualyTEXTIL S.A. ends up much stronger than before. New investment made on equipments, processes and suppliers led QualyTEXTIL S.A. to introduce completely new product line in 2004, becoming therefore the most complete garment manufacturer in Latin America. QualyTEXTIL S.A. became the third company in America to sign a license agreement with W.L. Gore. In 2005 QualyTEXTIL S.A. changed from a limited company into a joint-stock one with the Pactual Bank partnership . This way our business will become bigger and new business opportunities will arise.
