PT. Utama Raya Motor Industry (PT. URAMI) was established in 1977 in Kroncong Village, Tangerang, Banten. At the beginning PT. URAMI was engaged in the manufacturing of motorcycle spare parts, with superior plating machinary facilities. PT. URAMI has obtained several clients in automotive industry for plating their components with nickel chrome plating finishing.In 1983, PT. URAMI started entering the furniture industry by producing of stacking chairs using oval and square pipes. This innovation was considered a pioneer in Indonesia furniture industry with its trademark FUTURA.The trademark FUTURA stands for "Furniture Utama Raya", which also means "Shining Future" in latin. This system emphasized nickel chrome that utilizes multiple (double) layers system or double coating. The market responded FUTURA products very well.In 1985 PT. URAMI decided to develop the production of the folding chairs. Since then, every year approximately PT. URAMI introduced a new chair design and the management decided to improve the quality by changing machineries from manual to automatic technology, from bending machine to plating machine.Currently, PT. URAMI has 3 units plating machines with German technology, as we know, Germany is well known for he best plating systems. With regular maintenance from competent German maintenance team, makes FUTURA&＃39;s nickel chrome plating quality always superfine, shiny and better rust resistance. In line with the increase of FUTURA products demand, PT. URAMI built another production facility of the first factory facility in Kroncong village, Tangerang.
