Pt. Jepara indofurni is a well-known manufacturer and wholesaler of both indoor, outdoor, and wicker furniture with its base in jepara, Indonesia. Our company, which was established in 1982, has an export reputation to North America, European community, Africa, Asia and Australia.

The hardwood materials we use is plantation grown and harvested under close scrutiny by perum perhutani, the indonesian government agency who is responsible for reforestation and renewal of this valuable national resources. The hardwoods we mainly deal are teak (tectona grandis) for both outdoor and indoor as well as mahogany (swietenia sp) for our indoor products.

In addition to our carefully choosen material, we also always make sure that our wood are properly treated to anticipate problems with cracking, warping and insect attack. To avoid the first two problems, we now always make sure that our products are properly kiln dried. For this matter, our new state of the art steam oven digitally keeps the maximum moisture content of 16 % for teak and 14% for mahogany. To anticipate the insect attack, we increase the dose of the antibug chemical to a level where it is safe for pets and human, but it is lethal for wooden bug.

Our endless effort in reforming our company and products has brought about a very positive outcome. Just recently, our company was offered to receive the international star for quality (isaq) award in the gold category. The isaq award itself was presented by business initiative directions (bid) at the official ceremony held in geneva on october 10th,2005. In selecting the award, bid chooses the recipients based on one or several of the following concepts: The qc100 principles, customer satisfaction, leadership, technology, continuing education and training, business results, ISO 9000 and total quality management (tqm).
