Dear supplier, I am the Director of Purchasing of Mondo Shopping Universe and we have begun the launch of a Mega Retail Project in Canada. To give you a brief background of the project, we are creating a Shopping Universe divided in 7 Worlds in which each world will have products from around the globe. The 7 Worlds are World of Food, World of Fashion, World of Gifts, World of Toys, World of Electronics, World of Sports and World of Gaming where we will have 800, 000 products in a 3 million square feet surface area. With 800, 000 products, we will be the single largest retail store in the World. The repartition of the products will be 60% foreign products, 30% Canadian/USA and 10% our private brands. Phase one of the project will see the opening of two Mega Centers in Canada, one in Montreal, Quebec and one in Toronto, Ontario each with a total surface are of 3 million square feet on one single retail floor. Eventual expansion in Phase 2 will be into two other locations in Canada and an initial five locations in USA followed by some European countries. Our business model is DIRECT PURCHASING and CONTACT with our manufacturers/suppliers so we stress the importance of not having importers/brokers involved which increases our cost price.
