Company Introduction
Meera Enterprise is one of the leading manufacturer and supplier in wide range of Home Furnishings and Textiles. With an extensive experience in printing textiles from last 60 years inherited from older generations. Our great grandfathers were dyers and weavers and learned techniques of printing and dyeing from their ancestors thus knowledge and process has been handed down from generation to generation. What do we do:We are currently small community specialised in Textile printing and fabrication. Initially community is Launching Cotton Printed Tapestries, Tie dye shirts etc Our Concept: We are creating a unique market place where artists and designers will come up with amazing ideas in Fashion Apparels & Accessories. At our community we aim provide those artists a platform and be part of community, where concepts and ideas will be turned in to reality. Our Philosophy: In the quest of earning a living, we as a human tribe, have forgotten how to live. There is no creativity, no dance, no poetry and no time for music and love. Community and its people will spend more time in creating and living rather then just earning. It is more about sharing and loving people around us more about helping and healing people. We want to shine as an example that life can be lived happily without being enslaved by money and far from greed. A new brave world saying yes to environment and people and no to currency and power. We aim to provide high priority to the ethics in which we manufacture our products, to ensure we are sensitive to the environment and the people involved at every step of the process are treated with respect, receive a fair wage and are not expected to work in uncomfortable or hazardous conditions. No child labour or forced labourIn accordance with the International Labour Conventions (ILO) no child labour will be used in the production of our garments. The factories used by Kesrie do not employ any underaged employees. Factories are required to keep an employee register and age certification is mandatory in order to sign a contract of employment. No Exploitation of Work ForceExploitation of the local workforce still does occur in today's globalized economy. So it is important to be vigilant. Typically employees work a 42-hour week, their wages being paid regularly with overtime being voluntary and paid. Workers are entitled to a 1-hour break in every 8-hour shift. They also have one day a week off and are allowed to observe religious and cultural holidays of which there are many. Factories work with time cards systems in order to log hours worked by their staff. Almost all workers making Kesrie receive more than average and more than minimum wages for their roll. No-Discrimination Employment PolicyOur Community do no discriminate against employees based on race, colour, sex, religion, political affiliation or social origin. Workers' RightsRegular Meetings are held between the community staff whereby any grievances or complaints the workforce might have is addressed and resolved. Living wageWe insist that all our suppliers pay their staff a decent living wage.
