MDTI is a private company that was set up to commercialising Medical Innovation IP, recognising the opportunity of the NHS 2001 enactment. MDTi&＃039;s vision and business ethos aligns it closely with the new approach within the NHS and other International healthcare initiatives and it is seen as an independent but trusted channel, helping the NHS meet the objectives set by the 2001 Enactment without taking significant commercial risk. MDTi has built strong relationships with national NHS agencies, NHS Innovation Hubs and academic institutions to access licenses for a steady flow of potential products. It is now building and developing key international distribution channels. MDTi has achieved unrivalled and access to the IP in those medical devices that the NHS and others deems worthy of commercialising. To date the Company has concentrated on Class 1 devices but given both time and resource, the MDTi approach could be applied to other classes of device. Its license arrangements allow it to exploit international markets.
