Daruka was formed in the year 1996 as a retail shop with one assistant to promote the handicrafts of Eastern Region, in and around Kolkata.Other region tie up started in the year 1997 to provide glimpses of other regions of India to Eastern Region.To provide better services to the customers, Karuka was formed in the year 2005, as a separate establishment to start the wholesale and retail business.Explored handlooms along with handicrafts gave Karuka better mileage. Karuka tied up with Trihandi, the sole proprietorship firm of Kolkata, looking after product designing & marketing. Karuka started TRADING WITH OWN DESIGNS MOSTLY in the financial year 2014-15 which forced Karuka to explore overseas market.All the employees of Karuka have completed more than 5 years, which gives Karuka an added advantage. Tied up with the manufacturing establishments who have proven track record in their field and they are enjoying, completing the new design jobs within the time frame provided by Karuka. It enables Karuka to diversify and add more products into the product portfolio.Karuka is confident about their products and always insisting customers to purchase small quantity of products (instead of samples), have it, enjoy it and order for a bigger quantity.
