Finished art, My efforts were strenghtened and recieved further impetus when I established the Solapith Crafts Centre at Puri, Orissa. I realised soon that any traditional art can only survive if it is transmitted and shared with the new talents and moreso in a field like mine where the art form is so transient and time -consuming at every stage of preparing the final artefact. This inspired me to train young men between the age group of 7-25 years to adopt this craft as a source of artistic satisfaction and also make it their vocation. It would be appropriate to mention here that two students of the Centre have received Merit Award from the Government of Orissastatues, wood products, etc
