JABAL Artistic is based in Ubud, Bali. Our Team is well trained and qualified in providing miraculous products that put a high priority on environmental health. We are a handicraft company. Our basic commodity is from good quality of wood, and finished in "batik" style. Our craftsman comes from rural society with a very poor life. Actually, they have a good potential to increase their social&economic life by their ability to make "batik". Seeing this good potential, then we recruited them and give them qualified training so now they can make and create a very wonderful product. If you buy our product, indirectly you have helped the poor and save our planet from environmental damage. Batik is an product which workmanship through some steps, there are some steps to make a batik:Wood is trimmed based on the needed design, then it is scoured until smooth. The smooth wood then is painted by using pencil, afterward the painting is covered by wax. The painting then is given the basic color(basedon the taste) by using " canting". Afterward it is boiled to take off the wax.The next step is coloring the painting based on its design. The part, which is not colored, is covered with wax. After finishing the coloring, again it is needed to be boil to remove the wax off. If we need to have other color on the painting, those steps should be repeated again, so does for other color. Thus our product is really needed a high patience and high skill to be able to get a high quality product.Besides our effort to increase the social and economic life of rural society, the basic commodity of our product comes from wood(whichis coming from forest product not nature preserve). As an addition, the waste of batik is processed in such a way so it is not dangerous for the nature life anymore.Our product is packed in a beautiful box that made of recycle paper.
