Company Introduction
INTERCOR Consultancy comprises of a group of dynamic corrosion and material specialists who committed in working closely with the industries with one ultimate goal in mind -- to preserve YOUR plant integrity.
Our dedicated consultants have an average of 15 years experience and most are PhD qualified in various aspects in the subject of corrosion. We believe the areas of expertise be capable of coping with the multi-disciplinary challenges in combating and preventing corrosion issues in the ever-demanding asset integrity requirement.
Our areas of expertise inclusive of (not limited to) :
Automotive, Bio-diesel, Cement, Chemicals, Civil & Construction, Defence, Exploration & Production (Oil & Gas), Food & Beverage, Household, Marine, Metal Processing, Paper & Pulp, Pharmaceuticals, Plastics & Polymers, Power, Refineries (Oleochemicals, Petrochemicals), Rubber, Specialty chemicals and Textiles.
The Core Services we offer:
Corrosion Studies - Our aim in performing corrosion studies predominantly is to obtain a fundamental understanding of corrosion mechanisms under a variety of operating conditions with a view to formulating an efficient and cost effective control strategy.
Corrosion Risk Assessment (CRA) - Is a first step in the overall corrosion management strategy, comprises the non-destructive approach in evaluating types, locations degree of corrosion risks which may be present in the process. It covers reviewing of the degradation mechanisms to which a particular plant item may be susceptible, along with a determination of the anticipated degradation rates.
Corrosion Audit & Inspection - To perform plant inspection for potential corrosion risks. And to execute corrosion control audit in ensuring asset integrity and controlling of corrosion.
Materials Analysis (Metallic and Non-Metallic) - We provide comprehensive materials analysis services that cover onsite inspection, sampling, planning of analysis, independent third party laboratory works, reviewing of lab finding, (failure) root cause identification and suggestions of mitigation.
Material Selection (Metallic & Non-Metallic) - Is a crucial segment in the process design phase, involving selecting the right materials of construction that is technically and economically sound, with minimal maintenance required throughout the intended operation life.
Risk Based Inspection (RBI) - Risk Based Inspection refers to the application of risk analysis principles to manage inspection programs for plant assets, in order to establish a cost-effective inspection and maintenance system that provides assurance of integrity and reliability.
Statistical Analysis of Corrosion Data - This objective approach allows for repeatable and reproducible analysis in assessing and quantifying corrosion data. The statistical analysis method has been employed successfully in in RBI, to investigate the inspection data, to model corrosion rate and to forecast future failure trend.
Documentation Review - Intercor is actively involved in the independent review of corrosion- and material- related documentation, e.g. Material Selection Guide (MSG), Material Selection Diagram (MSD), Material Selection Summary Table (MSST), Corrosion Management Plan (CMP), Corrosion Design Basis Memorandum (CDBM), Corrosion Control Philosophy.
