Cooperating with more than 50 wood processed subcontractors in Southeast Asia makes Interbuild have the potential capacity to provide energy product. Our subcontractors all have clean wood waste that partly is used by themselves for heat and steam but that big volumes are available for the production of pellets That Interbuild within the Business Area Bio Energy has committed to contribute in reducing fossil fuel by offering as much pellets that the subcontractors and other suppliers can produce as per the standards set. With Interbuild’s existing quality assurance systems, legally harvested timber assurance system, its ISO9001 / 14001, SA 8000 and FSC certification, it was natural to take on the task to bring responsibly produced wood waste to the market. In Asia, there are no standard for wood pellet. It may be available in hundred specifications. We are setting up Interbuild pellet standard corresponding to European standard and leading the way to get all factories to produce the pellet by following Interbuild Standards. Within Interbuild Standard, those hundreds specifications are brought down to 3 major ones. However, we can also provide pellet under other specifications with good heat value and ash rate. We only work with well-established factories that consistently meet our required specifications and implementing self-declaration systems, as verified by independent labs. Interbuild has developed a special monitoring system with all its different manufacturers, that pellets frequently are tested in production as per Interbuild’s EN Conformity Certification system developed together with third party auditor, also including Laboratory Analyzes for Final Inspection of each batch delivered.
