Hunan Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives consists of 14 prefecture, 115 county federations, and 176 primay Societies with 1, 600, 000 member peasant households, and more than 1, 000 employees. The Cooperative, established in 1952, is engaged in global trade of cereals, oils, foodstuffs etc. With China&＃039;s stepping into WTO, the Cooperative, in recent years, completed adjustment of strategy by changing the traditional foreign trade enterprise into a group corporation, owning more than 7 capital stock-controlled/whole capital-owned companies with the total assets of RMB409 million, annual sales income over RMB700 million, total amount of import and export over USD100 million.
