Huachang Polymer Co., Ltd was originally founded in 1979 as a chemical factory affiliated with the East China College of Chemistry & Engineering. In 1998 Huachang Polymer was restructured as a corporation. East China University of Science & Technology (ECUST) owns a majority interest in the company.
