Jiyuan Baiyun Industry Company Ltd., located in Henan Province, the centre of China, is a high-tech private enterprise. Supported by Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IOZ CAS) with technologies, consultations and intellectual property, the company specializes in developing and producing baculoviruses as bio-insecticides. As Pilot-Scale Base of Bio-Pesticides of IOZ CAS and a High-tech Enterprise in Henan Province, the company is famous for its advanced technologies and large capacity in virus bio-insecticide production. Established in 1985, the company always insists on the management idea that science and technology are the soul of the company and the highest quality is the pursuit of the company. Department of R & D, workshops for insect mass rearing and virus replication and purification were established in the company, in which various equipments or instruments were installed. There are also more than 20 experts researching in the areas of plant protection, insect physiology, virus biology and application techniques. So far, 4 insect viruses were developed and more than 10 products including raw powders and formulations are being produced.
