We would like to take this opportunity to briefly introduce Gujarat Co-Operative Cotton Federation Limited (GUJCOT), which is a well established organization since 1975, with business transactions in Indian as well as International market. The company deals with cotton bales.

Established in 1975, Under the Gujarat Co-Operative Societies Act 1961 by the state Government. GUJCOT is the apex organization at the state representing cotton growers who are the members of primary Co-Operative Societies. GUJCOT works on four tier Co-Operative network which includes Gujarat State Co-operative Cotton Federation Limited (GUJCOT), Regional Co-Operative Cotton Marketing Union (9), Co-Operative Ginning and Pressing Societies (130), Primary Co-Operative Cotton Sale Societies (502), Cotton Growers (550000). The unique cotton co-operative system works on principle of ?Pooling System?. It has been working for the benefit of cotton growers for their economic upliftment as well as increasing the net income of farmers by low cost farming technology in cotton in Gujarat.
GUJCOT is an apex level Co-Operative organization aimed to object the cotton contract farming and to carry on the business of cotton cultivation, procurement, processing and marketing the cotton with branding. Though the cotton co-operative channel network at the ground level, GUJCOT has the added advantage to go for backward integration with farmers in establishing cotton ginning and pressing units in Gujarat.


GUJCOT continues to maintain or exceed standards that are demanded by the textile industries in the world. GUJCOT specially deals in Shankar-6 Cotton of Gujarat which has following characteristics:

? Since it is roller ginned cotton therefore NEP?s are not formed
? World class fabrics can be prepared because of less contamination.
