After nearly 20 years of development, the group company has shaped up two core businesses: international trade and real estate development and has cultivated and developed a cultural industry. Its affiliated enterprises and projects are scattered in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Wuhan, Changsha, Tianjin, Harbin, Xi an, Chengdu, Chongqing, Hainan and Hong Kong. It has made significant achievements in building up its capital, economic efficiency and business management and in institutional building. As part of the efforts to seize the opportunities and take up challenges after China becomes a WTO member, the group company has, starting from 2001, carried out consolidation and reorganization of its affiliated enterprises, giving shape to five major fields of businesses, namely, Poly trade, Poly real estate, Poly culture, Ploy Shanghai Group and Poly overseas and better realizing specialization, economies of scale and optimal allocation of resources that contributed greatly to the overall strength, competitiveness and risk resisting capabilities of the group.
       The total assets of the group company had reached 12.6 billion yuan by the end of 2003, with 4.32 billion yuan in net terms. It turned a profit of 330 million yuan in the year.
