The new board is ideal for telecom and other high availability applications, and it provides an easy upgrade path for users of PEP&＃39;s Celeron-based CP602 who are seeking the extra performance of a Pentium III processor. The CP603 utilizes a Pentium III processor in a 370-pin FCPGA (Flip Chip Pin Grid Array) package, which operates at a clock speed of up to 850 MHz, with a 256 Kbytes on-die full speed L2 cache and new Advanced Transfer Cache technology. This boosts performance up to 25% over previous Pentium III processors at the same clock speed. The unit is available in both standard (0° C to +60° C) and extended (-25° C to +75° C) operating temperature ranges. Pricing for the CP603 starts at $2,825. each.
