Esco's laminar flow and biohazard safety cabinets are built to comply with and exceed the requirements of the major international standards, including the European Standard EN12469 and the US Standard NSF/ANSI 49. Our cabinets have been independently tested internationally to standards such as AS1807.5 and EN12469, and are designed for optimum laboratory ergonomics, with operator comfort and safety in mind. ULPA filters used in Esco cabinets provide superior protection, and higher efficiency air filtration as compared to conventional HEPA filters used by most manufacturers in the market. Each manufactured product is individually tested extensively for performance and safety and a detailed test report and certificate are supplied with the cabinet.
Continuous investments in engineering and production technologies(including in-house product testing laboratories) mean that our aggressively priced products exceed performance requirements at the lowest overall cost in the industry. Our comprehensive in-house Research and Development facilities include microbiological testing according to EN12469 and NSF49 specifications and KI-Discus containment testing according to EN 12469. In addition, our laminar flow and biosafety cabinets are designed using advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics software to simulate the airflow pattern within the cabinet, ensuring uniform workzone airflow and optimum performance from the cabinet.
Products are manufactured under an ISO 9001 registered total quality management system. Under our ISO 14001-certified environmental management system, our products are manufactured from easily recyclable stainless steel, while our laminar flow and biosfaety cabinets utilize an external rotor motor system that consumes less power than conventional blower motors. In addition, Esco is the first manufacturer of biohazard safety cabinets to introduce BioCote(tm) anti-microbial powder-coating on its products internationally, which prevents cross infections via surfaces in hospital and research laboratories.
