KARNA OIL MILL was established two decades ago for the production of Neem oil and Neem Cake by M. Karunakaran. He has incorporated Ecobiocides & Botanicals Private Limited on 09.07.2003 with a view to establish facilities to produce ecofriendly insect control agents for agri and horticulture, considering the growing awareness for organic produce. The other aim is to develop and commercialize Herbal extractives for Human healthcare, in domestic as well as international markets. The company aims at further investments in the foreseeable future for expanding its activities.

The company's Managing Director M. Karunakaran, has been for a decade in the business of producing Neem oil from the seed kernel of the tree Azadirachta indica, extracting Azadirachtin technical, a Botanical Insecticide, and selling the deoiled seed cake as soil additive which has an unprecedented demand in the organic spice cultivation market in the neighboring state of Kerala. The oil produced has been exported through location in Theni surrounded by western ghats, the famous Hill station Kodaikanal is 45 Kms, the Tekkadi forest reserve 60 Kms and the temple town Madurai 70 Kms. All these places are an hour and a half drive from Theni.
