It is regarded as an amazing material. Ultra long molecular chain make it difficult for processing, it cannot flow at melting, so traditional methods don't work.

1. Impact strengthUHMW-PE has the highest impact strength of any engineering plastic, about three times that of nylon, two times that of PC, five times that of ABS, withstands repeated impaction. Even at -196 (Celsius scale), it is tough, together with it's superior abrasion and corrosion resistance. UHMW-PE has made itself ideally suited for industrial applications in complicate and rough environment.
