M / s Continental Footwear (Pvt. ) Ltd was established in 1969 primarily to meet the lower middle class demand. The plant was completely updated replaced in 1985 with most modern automatic French, Italian machinery in order to meet the export demand as well as to cater the local requirements of upper middle class and higher cadre of clients. Substantial portion of our production is being exported to France (only uppers) for the past several years. We have also started export of finished shoes and Arab slippers of a variety of designs to UAE. In Pakistan our shoes are rated high quality and are used in the strata of higher-middle and upper class.
We are now looking at USA and Europe as these markets are the largest markets for shoes and Sandals (open shoes) is our first priority and we would like to enter these markets at a large scale. As our production unit is capable of producing a 150000 pairs of shoes per annum per shift as we have a space and capability to expand our capacity at short notice by working 3 shifts and importing more machinery.
In order to ensure super quality tanned and dyed leather and to remove other bottlenecks we established our own tannery in 1996 which is now being expanded to complete tanning activity. Imported plant has already procured and installed.
