Commercial Fluid Power was founded in 1951 in Dover Ohio under the name Commercial Honing. Our focus from the start has been to provide the latest technology and support for tubing and bar used for the Fluid Power Industry. Today, with this philosophy Commercial Fluid Power has grown to four manufacturing and distribution locations throughout the United States.
The East Coast is serviced in the North by our Titusville (Pittsburgh) Pennsylvania location and in the South our Rome (Atlanta) Georgia facility. The Midwest is serviced by two plants located in North Canton Ohio and Dover Ohio.
Commercial Fluid Power stocks precision machined tubing and bar products primarily aimed at the pneumatic and hydraulic cylinder builders. Our inventory includes tubing and bar suitable for the manufacturing of cylinders but also other applications like motor housings, pumps and machine tools.
Commercial Fluid Power carries tubing in suitable to hone, honed, skived, skived and rolled, Chrome Plated Interior Diameters (CPID) , Chrome Plated Outside Diameters (CPOD) as well as our answer to chrome, Nitro-tuff Tubes. We also stock piston rod or bar stock in various conditions including Chrome Plated Only (CPO) , Induction Hardened Chrome (IHC) , & Nitro-tuff. Bars and stainless steel chrome plated.
Commercial in house processing capabilities include over 50 long length hones that cover a range from as small as 0. 500" (12mm) to over 47. 000" (1194mm) . We are capable of honing lengths up to 80 feet (24. 3meters) . Along with our honing capabilities we have skive and roller burnishing equipment. This equipment covers an interior diameter size range from 1. 500" (38. 1mm) to 10. 000" (254mm) .
