FRID is exclusively engaged in the research and development, producing and selling of special armings. Leaders of our Central Party or Government, for instance, Jiang Zeming, Li Peng, Zhu Rongji and Li Ruihuan, have inspected the FRID one after another. The company is the first to successively develop the high strength and high modulus polyethylene(or the HSHM-PE)fiber as well as its applied collections such UD Cloth, bulletproof jacket, ballistic armour and helmet, anti-incision gloves, cable or rope, and so on. The HSHM-PE fiber has been certified as the state key new product by the State Ministry of Science and Technology and other 4 ministries or administrations. It has also passed the appraisal of Hunan Provincial Commission of Science and Technology and State Administration of Textile Industry. Besides, the programs for the research and development of UD cloth and FDY-2001 soft bulletproof jacket which have applied the continuous and wide HSHM-PE fiber have passed the appraisals and testings respectively taken by the Development Center for Science and Technology subordinate to the State Administration of Textile Industry and the Testing Center for the Quality of Security and Arming Products subordinate to the Ministry of Public Security.And now the frid's annual productivity of HSHM-PE fiber and UD cloth is 1000 tons per year. During China's 11th Five-Year Program, the FRID will rely on the on-going program and centralize its capital to focus on the product research and development, hoping to push its technical innovation, expand the annual output of HSHM-PE fiber to 5000 tons and build the FRID into one of the most complete and most highly-industrialized enterprises and hopefully to establish its own famous brands.
