Agnova Agricultural Trading and Industry Co., Ltd. was established in 2006 to produce, import, export and market formulations of agricultural pesticides, chemical fertilizers and plant growth regulators. In 2007 the production plant in Mersin- Tarsus Organized Industrial Zone became operative to serve the Turkish Agricultural market better. In 2008, besides the pesticides formulations offered to the market, Glyphosate technical grade synthesis and production started and in the same year. 2.8 million tons of finished product was exported to European Union member countries. After a full scale comprehensive program in 2009, the number of registered formulations for 2010 was increased to 72, and this number will go up to 77 in 2011. In the middle of 2010, AGNOVA formed partnership with one of the leading agricultural companies of the Middle East, Astra Industrial Complex for Fertillzers and Agrochemicals Company Limited, under the new name of ASTRANOVA, in order to serve the local and international markets better. ASTRANOVA A.S. with her new and modem plant planned to be established In Nigde-Bor Organized Industrial Zone, will produce active ingredients starting with GIyphosate, Acetamiprid and imidacloprid as well as some pesticide, fertilizer and plant growth regulator formulations at higher and up-to-date technology, in order to offer Turkish farmers and Turkish agriculture more economical and higher quality products. ASTRANOVA A.S. will continue to be a pioneer in higher quality agricultural goods production, and looking into the technology to produce more modern formulations like the effervescent tablets of Acetamiprid and Glyphosate active ingredients, as well as changing the traditional WP and EC formulations to Water Dispersable Granules (WOO), and Soluble concentrates (SC) or Soluble Emulsifiables(SE) respectively. Many of these high technology products will be in the market in 2011.
