ALPA Hydraulic Machinery Industry Limited was established in 1979 in Istanbul. Initial production range consisted of Melamine and Bakelite presses. In 1981, Leather Ironing and Embossing presses were introduced to meet the demand of the rapidly evolving tannery industry. Today, ALPA is still the leader in this field.

As of 1982, ALPA has been manufacturing presses for international markets. Export sales are mainly carried out by direct sales to customers.
