Hi, this is Akanksha from Jaipur capital of Rajasthan. Designing and Creating new stuff is my passion. I have done higher studies in Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resource. I love to promote artisans and poor women.Akanksha, which means desire or wish, is a social export house that generate work for artisans, poor people from villages and urban area. Almost 40 families are attach with our small enterprise.Our main motto is not to make huge profit but to help people and to show world about their creativity and passion to make handmade items. Our all products is azo free. Natural and vegetable dyes/colour are used to create products. Child labor is strictly not allowed in our enterprise rather we make effort to help them in their education and studies and also social awareness. Akanksha textiles came into existence with the idea of fullfing wish to create stuff which is related to our traditional heritage city i.e pinkcity (jaipur) following social and environmental responsibilites.We have wide range of products like Block print Textiles/Fabric/Bedcovers/Tapestries/Quilt/Throw/Sarongs/Scarves/Curtains/Bags etc.Ladies Garments, Quilted Jackets, Blouse, Skirts, Trousers, Men Shirts etc.Ethnic range includes Kantha Quilt/Gudri Bedcover/Vintage items/ Old embroidery Wall hangings etc.Jaipur blue pottery, cotton rugs, wool jute durry are also made by our artisans.We wish to promote more and more women work which enhance women power and safety.Somewhat 2 yrs back we started this business. Well i was passionate for designing my own cloth and people love my sarees, tops, suits designing and idea about which color is used which other fabric and lace combination. Many boutique shop offer me partnership and they give me good discount as they started calling me for help in creating combinations. My family and my husband supported me to open a small shop for these items and thus i started and some local exhibition helped me in gaining customer. And I got much demand for home furnishing so slowly and slowly i started home textiles and decor. Now I mostly do home furnishing. Thus i developed product line. Seeing in export magazines, participating in fair and Google helped me a lot in home furnishing. But it doesn&＃39;t mean that we copy from it is just for idea perfect dimensions etc.
