Company Introduction

To be healthy means to be free of disease both physically and mentally. Healing is the restoration of health which can be facilitated in numerous ways. Universal Healing Solutions is fully committed to bringing quality products that promote both healing and health. Dr. Philip Anthony Marraccini has long been involved in a variety of health and social issues. Soon after graduating from Wagner College on Staten Island, he left for World War II, serving his country in a variety of capacities, including everything from a naval aviator (he still has a pilot's license) to a Judge Advocate in Guam and the Mariana Islands. After the war, he returned to attend medical school at New York Medical College, later doing his surgical residency at New York Polyclinic before beginning a career as a private physician and surgeon. Beyond his private practice, through the years Dr. Marraccini has held many other important positions; as an arbitrator of disputed hospital and physician bills, as the Medical Director of the lnternational Professional Union, and as a compensation consultant to the New York State Insurance Fund. He is also the founder and president of a private philanthropic foundation, The Mack Goldner Memorial Foundation, which has been involved in the support of innumerable charitable causes. Dr. Marraccini's professional affiliations have included memberships in the American Medical Association, the New York State Medical Society, the Westchester Medical Society, the New York Medical Society, the New York Academy of Science, the Abdominal Surgeons Society, and the American Arbitration Association. His civic activities have been wide and varied, and he has served as a Trustee of the New York Medical College; as a Knight of Malta and a Knight of the Holy Sepulcher; as a Police Surgeon for the Town of Harrison, New York; as Chairman of Mental Health and the HMO for the Unico Italian-American service agency; as Vice President of the Friends of the Nigeria Hospital Foundation; as a Trustee of the Innisfree Foundation of Charlottesville, Virginia; and as a Member of the Board of Governors of the New York Medical College Alumni Association. It is certainly not a surprise that a man of such accomplishment has collected many awards through the years. Dr. Marraccini has received the President's Medal from New York Medical College and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the school's Alumni Association; the John F. Kennedy Minority Award; the Columbus Day Medallion from the Columbus Day Society; and an award for medical care of children from the Children's Dream Foundation.
