The majority of professional solar water heating engineers are moving away from rigid copper pipe for many reasons, the main reason is the rising cost of copper on the world commodity markets compared to the more stable and lower costs of corrugated pipe.
In a typical split solar water heating installation, there are 4 connecting joints, two on the roof and two at the hot water tank. This reduces the many potential leaks that can happen with copper pipe and soldered fitting installations.
Corrugated annular pipe from DN12 to DN25 can be easily formed by hand in a U bend, with the ID of the pipe still retained with not possibility of kinking.  This also reduces labor costs and keeps the costly re visit to the customers installation to a minimum. With closed loop pressurized systems, the potential for leaking joints as the water temperatures risers, increase.

1. Not every country has a high cost labor problem, so we provide the lowest cost way to complete the solar water heating installation by offering coils of pipe separate to the insulation tube. Our long time sales and personal installation experience of the pipe separate to the insulation tube has a 50% less cost than pre-insulated pipe. We have made the insertion of the pipe through the 2 metre lengths of our insulation pipe on site very quick and easy, adding maybe an extra 20-30 minutes?   to complete the job, with no wastage as there often is with pre coiled lengths.
