Dr. Abhay R. Vasavada obtained his FRCS (Fellow of Royal College of Surgeons), England in 1980. He established the Raghudeep Eye Clinic in 1985, with the goal of diagnosing and treating various eye conditions, particularly cataract management. He has been one of the pioneers of phacoemulsification technique in India and he specializes in managing senile as well as complicated cataracts such as traumatic, subluxated, posterior polar, undilating pupils, white mature cataracts and secondary implantation using the phacoemulsification technique. Raghudeep Eye Clinic is now a tertiary referral center for all kinds of pediatric and adult cataracts. He is an honorary ophthalmologist to the Government of Gujarat and has had an opportunity to treat ministers of the Union, State and Government of India.
