Palm Olein Kernel Oil

Derived Palm Elaeis Guinnesis, found in Africa, South East Asia and Latin America, Palm Oil is natural food consumed for more than 5000 years.
Palm oil is extracted from the Palm Nut Kernel, it is extracted by pressing and crushing. Crude Palm Oil has a naturally high level of saturated fat. This is different to Olive Oil and other vegetable oils which are considerably higher in unsaturated fat. Palm Oil has an equal proportion of both saturated and unsaturated fatty acids. It is also an excellent source of Vitamin E.  This makes Palm oil a perfect base ingredient in many items and products.
The majority of Palm Oil production takes place in Indonesia and Malaysia. Indonesia Crude Palm Oil (CPO), is generally cheaper than Malaysia. Whereas Refined Palm Oil tends to be cheaper in Malaysia. As of 2012 Indonesia and Malaysia accounted for 80% of Palm oil originations.
Daily products that use Palm Oil are: Cooking/Frying Oil, Margarine, vast array of snack and food products. Also products such as soap.
