The Penny Price Academy was created in June 2003. It began by teaching Diploma level aromatherapy and post-graduate courses in aromatherapy, but this programme has now expanded to include courses in reflexology, therapeutic body massage, Indian head massage, Lymphatic drainage massage, hot stone massage, sports massage, Hopi ear candles and much more. Penny has also developed and taught the advanced Licentiate Diploma in Aromatherapy, which involves the intensive and internal use of essential oils, hydrolats and carrier oils (also known as the aromatology course) .
Penny took over the Sandra Day School of Health Studies in April 2004, and has school venues in Wakefield and Cirencester. There are also several training centres around the world, from the USA to Taiwan. With the support of Shirley and Len Price, husband Dr Bob Stephen and a dedicated team of staff, the Academy offers professional training programmes for complementary therapists. The Academy has won awards both for excellence in training and for student support for 2005 and has gained accreditation for its Complementary Health Courses from the following bodies:
