Lanics Inc., which specializes in the production of diode laser and diode laser modules/systems, is advancing into new business areas involving the manufacture of laser illuminators and LED lighting products.

Lanics has the capability to produce diode laser modules and systems with wavelengths ranging from 405nm(blue) to 1,550nm(infrared rays), and it is currently manufacturing products with laser outputs ranging from several mW to several Watts. Lanics Inc. has developed diode laser and diode laser modules/systems using semiconductor diode laser, and it has been supplying these products to both the domestic and overseas markets. Its products, which are manufactured based on its creative technological prowess, have been recognized for their superior quality and reasonable prices in various exhibitions, such as Photonics West, Inter Opto, and Laser Show. Lanics Inc. plans to advance into the security product and LED lighting areas, which it sees as the next-generation key industries.

The company intends to launch security products that can cover distances ranging from tens of meters to several kilometers day and night, by combining the laser illuminator, which has already been completely developed, and CCD cameras. The existing IR LED illuminator cannot cover this realm, but the inherent characteristics of diode laser have been completely developed by Lanics superior technology and have been infused into this product.

The LED lighting area is meaningful in that more than 100-watt full-color LED lighting is realized with several tens of watts of red-, green-, and blue-power LED. This is not the method in which tens or hundreds of the existing general LED(standard LED below 100mW) are combined but that which can realize a LED lighting of more than 100 watts with a single LED chip(white or RGB full-color). This is Lanics unique product, to which not only creative optical designs but also diode laser electronic technologies were applied.
