JUAN ALONSO E HIJOS, S.A. is a long and traditional family business, which started its activity in 1855. Four generations have been working hides and skins since then and still our wish is to satisfy our clients with our wide experience and know-how.
Our main activity is the collection of cattle hides and ovine skins from Northern Spanish slaughterhouses. Our experience has revealed us the importance of taking immediate care of the hides and skins.
When the raw material reaches our warehouse, it is trimmed, weighted and salted. After the salting process, a final classification is made before definite storage in reefer chambers at 3 degrees Celsius until their shipment.
As for the skins they are equally salted immediately, classified and taken into reefer chambers or dried in drying rooms.
