The East India Natural Goods Company was founded by Ajay Rawla, CEO, in 1993 in Calcutta, India, the world's largest and most active center for jute. We have focused on converting the image of this hardy natural fiber from a traditional packaging material to a high-quality fashion product that can be found in some of the finest stores in the world today. We established a factory of 30,000 sq. ft. in Calcutta, and have worked to ensure that both quality standards and delivery schedules be met. The East India Natural Goods Company opened up its U.S. operation,aka Earth Axxessories, in Austin, TX,in 1998. With its beginnings as a home-based office and garage warehouse, Earth Axxessories has over the years grown to a 10,000 sq. ft. office and warehouse space with a several full-time and permanent part-time employees.
