Boast International Limited is a privately - owned company, which is based in Hong Kong. LKC Shoes and Garments Manufacturing is a 100% subsidiary of Boast International Ltd.

LKC was founded in 1994 as Zhongshan Gelati Ltd and renamed in 2004 after inaugurating the new plant. The company started as a producer for sport & outdoor shoes and continually managed to shift production to higher value added articles for the export market. A fundamental change in strategy was decided in 2001 when Boast decided to produce safety shoes for the European markets. Since then LKC has gained a reputation as a premium address for injected safety footwear and has added several well established safety customers to its portfolio. For the first year of operation LKC produced 1.2 million pairs of footwear with slightly more than 1000 employees. In the following years LKC raised the quantity continuously and achieved approximately 2 million pairs in 2011.

LKC has its own R & D department inside the factory. There are 30 people in the department including in-house designers as well as skilled workers for preparing prototypes according to customers preferences. Designers are using CAD / CAM systems for graphic designing and they are using a computerized system for material and grading.

LKC cooperates with important suppliers, such as VIBRAM, BIAGIOLI, FLECKSTEEL, BASF et cetera. Upper leather is from certified suppliers from the USA, Brazil, India, New Zealand and Europe. LKC uses waterproof membrane from local suppliers and also from COSMO: SYMPATHEX and HYDRO-GUARD. We just applied for a GORETEX-license. LKC produces high quality waterproof footwear according to the international standard.

As a member of SATRA and INTERTEK, England, LKC is working closely with both testing centers and has successfully achieved EN certificates reaching S3 standard. Besides the testing procedures by SATRA and Intertek, LKC has its own testing laboratory in the factory. EN, ANSI, and CSA Standard testing equipment is installed for different kinds of testing procedures for its samples as well as its production.

There are totally 1,500 employees in the factory including administrative and direct workers. LKCs footwear products are currently manufactured along six direct injection machines in addition to two cementing production lines with a total output over 2 million pairs per year.

LKC annually produces over a million of safety footwear with direct injection. There are currently six direct injection machines in production:

1 * 24 Stations TPU/PU from Main Group
1 * 30 Stations PU/PU from Main Group
1 * 30 Stations PU/PU from Desma
1 * 18 Stations PU/PU from Desma

LKC has its own in-house but independent quality control teams, who are working closely in different sections along the process of production to ensure the quality of its products.

There is 1 Quality Control Manager together with his assistant in charge of the Quality Control System. They coordinate 8 supervisors, who take care of the material warehouse (1), stitching department (3) and assembly lines (4). These supervisors lead 39 Quality Inspectors. Therefore we guarantee the quality of our products.
