More and more people today are becoming environmentally aware of their world and care deeply about global warming and carbon footprint. Going green is the talk of the town. So why go green? The most significant being that preserving the world’s natural resources is the responsibility of every individual, whether in school, at work or at home. It is a shift towards using alternative natural resources and materials, for a sustainable living. Many people mislead with the term go green. It is not rocket science. It is as simple as starting out with ONE simple step and eventually grows. It does not have to be hard. It is doable. For us at Bamboo Malaysia, we have opted bamboo, as an alternative natural resource. It is a relatively new concept here in Malaysia. Adopting the use of bamboo globally will help build a cleaner and healthier lifestyle, at the same time, saving the Earth. We would like to call it ‘baby steps’.
