Company Introduction
Wyeth Korea, Inc. (Baek-Hee Kang, Representative Director and President)
is a multi-national pharmaceutical company established in 1982 through collaboration
with American Cyanamid and Yuhan Corporation. The company has been active as
an affiliated company to Wyeth-Ayerst International, Inc., a division of the
ethical business of AHP, since the take-over of American Cyanamid by AHP (American
Home Products), a worldwide known research-oriented pharmaceutical company,
in 1994. Its trade name was changed from Yuhan Cyanamid to Wyeth Korea as of
September 1, 2000 for the new jump.
AHP has changed its name to Wyeth to refloect its role as a global research-driven
pharmaceutical company committed to solving the world's health problems through
leading-edge biotechnology, effective March 11, 2002
As described in the above, Wyeth Korea, Inc. has contributed to the national
health and the development of pharmaceutical industry through the introduction
of innovating treatment drugs to Korea for the past 20 years. The company will
do its best to promote the national health by supplying innovating new drugs
continuously through the supply line of new drugs from its head office which
